This is a piece of furniture I have wanted my entire life! My mother got it from her mom, it was the first piece of furniture my parents had when they got married. I have asked for this for a REALLY long time. She is afraid I am going to have it painted and distressed! Which I will! But, she made me promise that if she gives it to me now I have to wait until she dies before I "ruin" it...her words!

Wow! That is a BEAUTIFUL piece! I don't think I've ever seen anything like it. I think I agree with Mom, don't touch it!
